September Fall Festival Fever!

This past week, as August came to a close, Gina D. posed a question on the Webster Neighbors Facebook Group that seemed to be on everyone’s mind:

Where are some good Fall Festivals in the area?

The post received a flood of likes and shares immediately and then so many great responses that we’re going to round up the September events right here for you.    Did we miss any?  Let us know!

Wickham Farm’s Honeycrisp Apple Festival & The Great Candy Drop

When: September 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd – 10 AM – 4:30 PM. Candy drop will occur at 2 PM each day
Where: Wickham Farms Fields & Orchard – 1303 Sweets Corners Road. Penfield, NY 14526

Activities include the Giant Corn Maze, Apple Cannons, Right Turn Only Maze, Spider Web play area, and more! To celebrate Honeycrisp apples, they will host a magician (free) from 1 PM to 4 PM at Wickham Farms Main Barn (across Rt 250 from the orchard). All of the usual fall attractions will also be open at the Wickham Farms Main Barn including the jumping pillow, miniature golf course, family corn maze, kiddie train ride, pumpkin hayride, batting cages, farm animals, fresh donuts, ice cream and much more!

Letchworth State Park’s Native American & Pioneer Heritage Days


When:  September 15, 2018 10am – 4pm
Where:  Trailside Lodge, Letchworth State Park

Learn about Native American culture and watch dancers perform traditional dances.  Trailside will also be the site of a craft show and sale featuring Native American and pioneer crafts and skills. Some of the crafts and skills presented this year include, flintknapping, basket making, open hearth cooking, quill art, soap stone carving, and much more.

Barn Raisin’ Hoe Down and Farm Frenzy 

When: September 22nd  12pm – 4pm
Where:  6450 Shaker Rd, North Rose, NY 14516-9543

A fun filled day of music with the Shades of Blue Country Blue Grass band and Rebecca Bruno. Square Dance Demo and dancing with the Copy Cats Square Dancers. A “People Auction” by Village Auction Company, Apple and Peach Dessert Contest, Apple Races and so much more! $8 pre-sale/$10 at gate, tickets go on sale August 21st!

Sodus Harvest Festival 

When: September 29th, 2018  10am – 4pm
Where:    Main St, Sodus, NY 14551

Vendors, food, pumpkin/fruit carving contest, pumpkin growing contest & dropping pumpkins from a 75 ft. crane as well as varied entertainment and children’s activities.

Appleumpkin Festival – Gaslight Village of Wyoming, NY

When: September 29 & 30th, 2018  10am – 5pm
Where:  Village of Wyoming, NY

What’s in an “AppleUmpkin”? It’s two words mended together like the ingredients of an apple pie. It’s “Apple” and “pumpkin.” It’ll make much more sense to you when you’re standing amidst the festival goers at the Wyoming Gaslight Village AppleUmpkin Festival in Wyoming, New York. The area is full of pumpkin patches and apple orchards. And in honor of the harvest, peruse the vendors, eat the goods, listen to the music and be with friends.

Naples Grape Festival 

When: September 29 & 30th, 2018  10am – 5pm
Where:  Lake Niagara Ln & N Main St – Naples, NY 14512

Since 1961, the grape festival is held every September in our valley to celebrate the areas grape harvest, talented artisans, wine makers, local and regional music and cuisine.  The Naples Grape Festival is held at the Naples High School Grounds and across the street at Memorial Town Hall from 10am till 5pm, rain or shine. Come and enjoy wine, food, arts, crafts and local/regional music. Bake a pie for the World’s Greatest Grape Pie Contest and sample every thing “grape” that our valley has to offer.
