It’s been quite a month for talented singer and Webster native, Austin Giorgio. After appearing on NBC’s “The Voice” and advancing to the next round, the Town of Webster has been enamored by the 21 year old’s jazzy renditions in the likes of Sinatra and Michael Buble. However, this morning, it may be safe to say that Austin’s fame has reached Biblical proportions. In his Easter morning address at the Vatican, his holiness Pope Francis has proclaimed that Austin Giorgio will be up for consideration to be canonized as a Saint. The Pope declared:
Translated from Latin: “…and this Angel appeared on NBC’s The Voice 8pm/7pm Central, and God spoke to me and said this young man will bring so much joy to the world covering Michael Buble and Sinatra songs for many years at many weddings, Sainthood is in his future…”
Vatican insiders are already speculating what his full title in Sainthood will be. Local Waste Management company owner, Nicholas “The Mouth” Santora shared:
“Well, Vegas odds show him becoming the “Patron Saint of Crooners” at 3 to 1, but a friend of ours, Cadillac Frank has a tip that the kid Giorgio himself is pulling for “Patron Saint of Pompadours”, which right now has 10 to 1 odds.”
We wish Austin the best of luck on the rest of this season’s The Voice!
