There’s a very good chance that sometime in the next few years, parts of the recently replaced Tappan Zee Bridge (formerly spanning the Hudson, north of NYC) will be coming to Webster.
The Monroe County DOT is hoping to reuse some of the perfectly good deck plates from the old Tappan Zee to help rebuild a bridge on Salt Road.
